Spring Favorites

I know, I know. You're like "Boo, spring has been here for like 2 months..." But like, shhh.

Alright, so spring... Out with the jackets and in with the cute dresses and pastel colored outfits! Woo!

Which also means, out with the heavy face creams and in with the lighter skin regimens.

I used a lot of hydrating face oils and moisturizers in the winter time and as the temperatures warm up and the heater is off in my house, I find less of a need to be as moisturized.

I've been straying from my tried and true to expand my horizon a bit. I wanted to see what else is out there and give it a go!

I've loved a few products I've tried, so I figured I'd show you which ones I loved this spring! (not only face products!)

Cocokind - Organic Rosewater Facial Toner

As you all know, I live and breathe rosewater. I always raved about the Lush "Eau Roma Water" toner UNTIL I tried this rosewater toner. It's amazing. It smells like true roses in a bottle. It's moisturizing and makes your skin feel so fresh and clean. I use it on my chest too when I start breaking out or my skin gets irritated. It calms my skin down. Truly, I think they're similar products but this one is better quality and their values are what makes me more inclined to repurchase this one. First of all, their packaging is glass. Which, is way better for the environment and makes you feel much fancier. Second, they're certified organic, vegan (most of their products but not all), and fair trade! They also have a "Cocokind Impact Foundation" that provides financial grants between $2,500 to $10,000 to female entrepreneurs in the health, wellness, and sustainability industries who are focused on creating social impact through business. They're all about empowering women and making a great product. I also love that the owner is the face of the company and she shares skin tips with her using the actual products. It makes you feel like you're purchasing something from an actual human vs an ad or marketing scheme. That goes a long way with me.

First Aid Beauty - Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer

The first time I tried this product I felt like it wasn't enough moisture for my skin. However, the more I use it and adjust to the change in weather and such, I really like this. It has almost no scent, it's watery rather than creamy, it's super light, has a pump bottle (which we all know I'm into), and has no irritants in it. I highly recommend this for spring and summer as everything heats up and your skin tends to be more oily.

Chanel - La Solution 10 De Chanel

This is a pricier one. I never would have bought this just looking at it in the store. I looked at the ingredients and thought it was absurd to pay $80 for 10 ingredients. However, once I tried it, I changed my mind. It's creamy but not heavy. I love the way it feels on my skin. Like a simple moisturizer that doesn't leave you oily or dry. It's just right. No scent. No residue. Sometimes I use it as a night cream because it is a little bit heavier than the First Aid Beauty one. If my skin feels a little dryer I'll go for this. It's a great base under makeup. I've noticed my skin really likes it and feels really smooth and soft after using it. It balances my skin a bit. You'd have to try it to really get the consistency. Would I still pay $80 for it? Debatable... but, yes?

Pureology - Colour Fanatic Multi‑Benefit Leave‑In Treatment

I know that I swear by the "It's a 10 Miracle Leave in" and I still totally do. That being said, I cheated on it. *audience gasps* It's honestly a very similar product only with a better smell. It smells like perfume. Really nice perfume or shampoo or floral... you get it. It does almost the same thing as It's a 10 only when I asked what the difference was at the store they said "instead of 10 hair benefits, this one has 21!" So, I mean, of course I had to try it... It's a 10 is just a bit thicker. If you want that extra moisture, I still say go for that one. But all in all, both amazing.

One thing I've found is that I tend to try products and if I don't like them I'll save them and maybe love them in another season. Skin changes from one season to the next. So, next time you give up on something, always remember; you could like it next season. Give it a second chance. That's what I found with most of my love products. It doesn't stop working or start working... your skin changed.

Hope you liked this! If you try/have tried any of these, let me know how you liked or didn't like them. Do you have spring favorites?
