Fall is upon us. I swear, summer just flew by. A new season means new skin adventures! I've been trying a bunch of new products on my quest for even textured, clear, and glowing skin. It's a full time job just figuring out what products work for your skin...
I've been having issues with skin texture lately. Congested pores all over my chin and cheek area. My friend suggested incorporating acids into my routine.
Let's talk acids. They sound terrifying. My dad literally thought I was melting my face off when I told him I've been using acid for my blemishes. Acids are anything from hyaluronic acid to salicylic acid. Those are some of the well known and less scary ones.
I've looked into a lot of different types and it's opened up a whole universe of different acids for different functions!
Chemical peels are a HUGE help when it comes to helping clear up congested pores. So, if you have a problem with build up or closed comedones, I would add some sort of peel or acid to your regime.
Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) exfoliate the skin's topmost surface for a brighter and more even appearance. Beta hydroxy acids (BHA) also exfoliate the skin with an extended function to help clear pore congestion. This isn't an acid, but I find it a great addition to using acids because it's hydrating and balancing. It helps soothe the skin when dealing with all these different acidic products. I got this in my ipsy bag and it's amazing. It brightens your skin and has hyaluronic acid in it! It's light weight, which is great for greasy skin. A great daily moisturizer in my opinion.
